This is a poster that I created for the exhibition that was called "100 Posters for Crete". You can read more details below.
The bull appears in two ancient Greek myths, the one of the Minotaur and the one that Zeus kidnapped Europe. I decided to use that as my main theme. The bull is a very strong and proud animal and everyone that has visited Crete can make the connection of the island, its people and the bull.
I had to challenge myself to use a technique that I had never used before and I chose the one with the continuous line.
The text on the poster translates as "The end of the rope can be found only in one place".
I have to thank Vassilis Pitsonis for his organising skills, his idea and his will to make everything happen succesfully!

create a poster for Crete raising funds for the work
of ELEPAP Chania and Orizontas
The Region of Crete, the Regional Unit of Chania, the Municipality of Chania, the Chania Ephorate of Antiquities and Omen Art Shop Gallery organise a unique graphic design poster exhibition for raising charity funds, entitled “100 Posters for Crete”.
100 graphic designers, who live and work in Greece, Cyprus and many other cities abroad, were invited to design disinterestedly one poster each about Crete, without any subject or technique restrictions. The feedback to the request was so massive that the positions were filled almost instantly by 100 talented creators. The chosen posters will be sold in copies at a low cost, as the raised money will be offered to support “ELEPAP Chania” and “Orizontas”, two of the most active charity organisations in Chania.

δημιουργούν μία αφίσα για την Κρήτη ενισχύοντας
το έργο της ΕΛΕΠΑΠ Χανίων και του Ορίζοντα
Η Περιφέρεια Κρήτης, η Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Χανίων, ο Δήμος Χανίων, η Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Χανίων και το Omen Art Shop Gallery διοργανώνουν μια πρωτότυπη έκθεση γραφιστικής αφίσας φιλανθρωπικού χαρακτήρα για την Κρήτη, με τίτλο “100 Posters for Crete”.
100 γραφίστες που ζουν στην Ελλάδα, στην Κύπρο και σε πολλές πόλεις του εξωτερικού, προσκλήθηκαν να σχεδιάσουν αφιλοκερδώς από μία αφίσα που να έχει ως θέμα της την Κρήτη, ελεύθερα χωρίς θεματολογικούς περιορισμούς, με οποιαδήποτε τεχνική επιθυμούσαν. Η ανταπόκριση στο κάλεσμα ήταν πολύ μεγάλη με αποτέλεσμα από τις πρώτες κιόλας μέρες να έχουν καλυφθεί οι συμμετοχές από 100 ταλαντούχους δημιουργούς!
Οι 100 αυτές αφίσες που θα εκτεθούν, ταυτόχρονα θα πωλούνται σε αντίτυπα έναντι πολύ χαμηλής τιμής, ενώ τα χρήματα που θα συγκεντρωθούν από την πώλησή τους, θα διατεθούν για την ενίσχυση του έργου της “ΕΛΕΠΑΠ Χανίων” και του “Ορίζοντα”, δύο πολύ δραστήριων και παραγωγικών φιλανθρωπικών φορέων του νομού Χανίων.
